Can anybody design a budget outline for me to use to draw a budget for lab consumables?

i work in a lab and i have been asked to submit my budget for next year. can anybody out there help?Can anybody design a budget outline for me to use to draw a budget for lab consumables?
All right.....first, get together with your accounting folk and figure out how much you spent on consumables over the past year. If you're going to be doing basically the same type and amount of work with the same staff, then just increase that amount by inflation (4-5%). If you're going to increase your staff, then figure (using this last years data) an amount per headcount and increase the total accordingly. If you're going to be doing different work or know you are going to be using some specialty consumables for a particular project - then you will again need to adjust for these as well..............good luck!
