Can anyone recommend a cheap, but decent, printer/scanner with cheap consumables?

There's so many around now it's difficult to chose. I'm looking for a decent, but inexpensive, printer/scanner with low cost print cartridges as I've heard that the cartridges for some cheap printers are so expensive that you might as well just bin the printer when the cartridges run out!

You are not wrong when you say chuck the printer -that is what I used to do....Lexmark are the worst - I could buy a printer/scanner for 拢30 - the print carts cost 拢35.....work it out.





I have found though that HP printers - especially if you can still get one (HP C3180) are good - carts are still pricey BUT - they are easy to refill using the refill kits - you do lose a little on the colour but not enough to worry about.





A refill kit costs about 拢7 - you get three/four colour refills from this and two black - so work it out - and the print quality from HP is superb.Can anyone recommend a cheap, but decent, printer/scanner with cheap consumables?
Canon MP series, doddle to refill and re-program. I have run on the same set for 24 months with no fade/stripes etc.. You can reset the eeprom very easily so the printer thinks the cartrideges are always full.
Try the Canon Pixma-mp630 unless you can find a mp610 which was even better.

But u have not mention that what type color or black and white. If you prefer black and white then this one is the Best.
