Used White Hair Toner. Left in wet hair for 1 1/2 hours. Why are the hair Roots White and Ends still yellow?

I Used White Manic Panic Hair Toner last night . I applied it to wet hair and left in for 1 1/2 hours. The roots turned out whiter and the ends are still yellow/gold. What step did i miss? and if i should re-apply how long should i wait before 2nd attempt?Used White Hair Toner. Left in wet hair for 1 1/2 hours. Why are the hair Roots White and Ends still yellow?
Have you dyed your hair before? If so, thats why it took to your roots more than the rest of your hair. The roots of your hair have never been dyed so they soaked up the toner more easily. On the other hand, the ends of your hair had already been dyed another color, so the toner had to go through that to get to your hair and color it.

You probably didn't miss any steps and to fix the problem I'd use the toner again but only on the tips of your hair to even it out. Before you do that, though, do a little research to make sure that using that product for too long won't damage your hair.

Good luck!Used White Hair Toner. Left in wet hair for 1 1/2 hours. Why are the hair Roots White and Ends still yellow?
The hair closest to your scalp will almost always change color the easiest and fastest. This is because heat speeds up the process when you are changing the color of your hair, and because your scalp is warm the hair closest to it (the roots) will change color more easily than the hair furthest from the scalp.

Something like that happened to me the first time I decided to change my hair. What I did was I went back over the dark ends with the same process to get it to match my roots.

If the toner requires peroxide then just wait a day or two before reapplying, and condition your hair well during those days that you are waiting.
